The purpose of life!

335. Om veda-vedyayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is known through the vedas

I found this picture on my soul sister's profile picture. And apart from reconnecting me with Bindu across thousands of miles, it reminded me of the times I have gone to Amritapuri and thought of going for beach meditation. But I have never been able to do it. I've never known the timings nor Amma's schedule. My splash and dash visits have never given me time to sit and mull over life. There are so many mysteries to life I sometimes seek the answer for. What exactly is our purpose? If there is a purpose, why isn't it just made clear to us right in the beginning? If not, then that must mean that life's an adventurous journey where the whole point of being here is to find a purpose and to fulfill it. How fortunate we are that the Universe has appointed Amma as our God, Guru and Guiding light! How fortunate that Amma is always there to soothe and comfort us (even when we assume She isn't, like I do sometimes!). Sometimes to see Amma, we just need the right spiritual outlook. Amma isn't just an ordinary woman from Kerala. She's been sent here with a purpose. The purpose to set us on the path of a spiritual journey. To make life bearable. To see all of creation as one.

Om Amriteswariye namah!
