324. Om kalyanyai namah: I bow down to Amma who bestows auspiciousness
I was reading Amma's thoughts on the negativities in our lives and to see everything that comes our way as prasad. Amma Herself says that it is not an easy thing to do but with practice, we will feel the oneness with the world. It has to be the most difficult thing to do - ever! Because when one is in the depths of despair, it is extremely difficult to see it as prasad. A very common wonder would be: why me? what have I done to deserve this? The universe isn't about to answer our queries but in the larger scheme of things, there must be some reason why Amma puts us through the grind. As we go through the many ups and downs She bestows on us, the thing to do is possibly swim with the tide. I am reminded of something as sweet as the voice of Ellen de Generes playing Dory and stating rather profoundly, in "Finding Nemo": 'What should we do when life gets you down? Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming'. There we have it. We just need to keep swimming in the ocean of Amma's grace. Somewhere, somehow, we will find that the current will take us to our right destination.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
