327. Om kalavatyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is the embodiment of all arts
My brother Michael is in America, following Amma in Her tours. He saw our divine Mother today in Devi bhava. Here are some of his interpretations and excerpts from our beloved Amma's satsang:
"The Good and the bad - or rather, our experience of it - is based upon that which we plant (the seeds we sow); our mind is ultimately the cause of happiness and sadness, joy and sorrow
Why are we living? We need to find the answer to this question to live a fulfilled life; a country's GDP is not a good measure of its success; without spiritual values, our actions are like putting make-up on a corpse
We shall not become slaves of the technology we've created; there are treatment facilities for the addictions to electronic gadgets!
With our continual pursuit of happiness from external objects, we're like bees looking for honey and always landing on artificial flowers
Every emotion has it's own vibration. For example, Anger is like a mosquito which carries malaria;
Karmic balance has an influence on this life; karmic laws are cyclic; death is simply a period at the end of a sentence. Laws of karma are very complex; there is a delay between actions and results, hence we many times do not make the connection between deeds and consequences.
Intent on the goal is extremely important - i.e. mountain climbers looking at death straight on, yet their strong focus on the goal helps them avoid the danger
Meditation is like gold - it helps us still the mind which is essential to be successful
Distance has no effect on love; the sun continues to provide for the lotus flowers, despite its distance; We need to keep the 'mobile phone' of mantra japa with us and in use at all times
Spiritual practices and compassion are not two, but one." How can anything have duality in Amma's presence. Amma is one with the universe. At Her feet lies the entire universe!
Om Amriteswariye namah!
