333. Om varuni-mada-vihvalayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is intoxicated by varuni (liquor, soma or bliss)
Jim Carrey: "I was feeling down about life'n'love. Then I met a woman named Ammachi and she gave me back my smile. Darkness can not compete with her. ;^)"
The talented actor tweeted this nearly a year ago. Today I heard him address the students of the Maharishi University of Management. And everything he spoke was like Amma's satsang. It was beautiful. His thoughts on how to drive fear away from our minds was like a lesson Amma was sending me. He is obviously a more realized soul than I am. He has truly encapsulated everything that spirituality and divinity means in this world. His take on hope and faith was very revealing: "hope is like walking through the fire and faith, is leaping over it." Life is really all about giving your intent or desire out to the universe and then not worrying about the process but waiting for the result - not in the 'hope' that it will but keeping the 'faith' that it will.
I want to walk ahead not just hoping, but knowing that Amma will always be there to hold the umbrella of grace over me. And then I will finally feel the bliss.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
