My ever protective Mother!

110. Om kundalinyai namah: I bow down to Amma who has the form of a coil

Once again, I explore Amma's presence as a major feminine shakti. Her power isn't in any way dormant. It lies in a coil at the base of Her spine. To me, Amma's chakra sends out waves of feminine power. Sheer Shakti that has the power to change the world and heal it. Even Her embrace is laced with this powerful Shakti. Otherwise how else can just a hug influence so many hearts? An embrace that can create a change in a life; that can have us feeling the deep tremors of spirituality influencing our lives: all that can only come from a Mother whose femininity is aroused and whose third eye has the divine vision.

Many years ago, I was traveling in a taxi that was speeding down the Mahabalipuram stretch. I was on my way back form Pondicherry to Chennai, after a taxing shoot schedule. It was around 8:30 in the evening and night had already descended. I was watching all the farm houses and the empty land areas around us. And the ghostly outlines of the tall casuarina trees. There was no one else in the car except the driver and the production manager, both of whom were sitting in the front. I suddenly felt a presence. I turned and felt Amma's presence very strongly! I dare say I even saw Her sitting by my side. All this happened in a matter of seconds. I remember thinking: "Wow! Amma! Amma's sitting in the car with me!". And then I heard the skidding of tires. We had missed another vehicle by inches. There was panic in the front seat but I felt a deep sense of calm. Amma was there with me. She'd come only to ensure that an accident was averted. She'd come to protect me at all costs.

Amma will never, ever let us down. As a parent, would we ever let down our child? As a child, have our parents ever let us down? Amma is the supreme Mother whose feminine power is the highest it can ever be. She loves us too much and will protect us come what may. Which of us hasn't been touched by this angel?? With that faith, let the night transcend into a beautiful dawn.

Om Amriteswariye namah!
