99. Om muladharaika nilayayai namah: I bow down to Amma whose principal abode is the Muladhara chakra
Amma resides in the tantric centre of creation. The four leafed lotus where the great spiritual potential, kundalini resides and is awakened. She is, as always, the energy behind everything.
Today I got my hands on a fabulous book. The Miracle. And the author spoke about how gratitude should form a big part of your life because in being grateful lies the seed to abundance. But how about being grateful not because we wish abundance but only because of simple manners that allow us to say "thank you". How about being grateful to a mother who I doubt has ever done one deed for Herself and instead has directed all Her divine energies towards healing us? How about being grateful for a Mother who loves us unconditionally no matter what our color, looks, financial status, weight etc. She looks beyond physical aspects. She gives us what our everyday life doesn't: acceptance. She accepts us as if we are the most precious beings on earth. And chances are, we are. Because if we weren't, would the Divine Herself love us so much?
Gratitude thus is very important. Every day if we can be grateful for everything that's worthy of a prayer, how beautiful and bountiful that day would be! Imagine waking up and thinking, "wait a minute, I have the Goddess Herself as my Guru. And what's more, I have been touched by this angel!"...now that's enough reason to plunge headlong into the joyful business of being alive!
Amma, I have my tough days. Some days I question more than on other days. My limited vision cannot see the bigger picture. But give me the wisdom to understand that everything you do is for my good. If your grace can merely brush past my fate, I'm sorted. Not a leaf moves unless you will it to. Fate then, is a different planet altogether. As I meditate to awaken my spirituality, may this wisdom grow. May I see then what I am blind to now: Your overwhelming divinity. A divine sphere where with a flick of Your hands, you can change destiny. Bless me with Your grace, Amma. So I can recognize the good in goodness and the true nature of the world. So that I can string together a necklace of gratitude and lay it down by Your feet. It is after all the resting place of everything wonderful with this world.
