72. Om bhanda sainya vadhodyukta sakti vikrama harsitayai namah: I bow down to Amma who rejoices at the valor of the shaktis who are intent on destroying the forces of Bhandasura
Amma, you are woman power, Sthree Shakti. For us, you are the incarnation of everything womanly and powerful in existence. In this age of kalyug, when a woman has been dethroned from her rightful place in the sun, Amma walks the path of valor and courage. A look at Amma's life is adequate. She faught against innumerable odds to follow Her calling. At a young age, born in a rural town, She was looked upon as an anomaly. But She stuck to the spiritual path despite the resistance, the threats, the jibes. She could see what the naysayers couldn't. And She stayed on. We are basking in the glory of Her strength today.
As women, this is an important lesson we need to learn from Amma's life. It doesn't matter what the circumstance: if something is correct, stay on that path. Eventually, the universe will conspire to make it happen. For us, Amma is our universe and when She sees us walking the road of righteousness, She will reach out and protect us through the journey.
