My Mother!

89. Om mula kuta traya kalebarayai namah: I bow down to Amma whose (subtle) body is made of the three parts of the panchadasakshari mantra

She who is the eternal path of the faithful
She who lives only so we may have a better future
She for whom the universe speaks its own secrets
She with whom nature dances to its own beat
She who gives depth to the word "love"
She whose hugs not only embrace but also console
She whose beauty is not just for the sight but all the senses
She who walks the earth only so you and I may find peace
She who did miracles even as the day turned to night
She whose empire of love has grown into limitless boundaries
She who rules the earth with Her weapon of compassion
She who holds us so dear to Her
She who starves so we may eat
She who keeps awake so we may sleep
She who sings so we may dance
She who dances so we may sing
She who teaches so we may learn
She who follows so we may lead
She who reaches out so we may find solace

Who is She? Who else can She be? A person thus defined whose every cell pulsates with love, can only be a Mother. Whose every living moment is dedicated to Her children. Whose every thought is for Her many children the world over. A Mother in the true sense. A Mother whose only goal is to protect Her children and ensure that every step they take is cushioned by the armor of Her immense love. She wraps us in layers of Her warmth.

And to such a Mother, we offer our salutations. For to go beyond the self is not only selfless, it is also divine.

Om Amriteswariye namah!
