73. Om nitya parakramatopa niriksana samutsukayai namah: I bow down to Amma who delights in seeing the might and the pride of Her nitya deities
The core beauty of Amma is that She is able to revel in everything with a child like innocence. When Amma sees the might and pride of the fifteen deities, when Amma meets us for darshan, when Amma sings bhajans. Every moment, every event is such a celebration. She truly lives in the moment. Amma's singing, Her every gesture, Her unlimited love: everything is a celebration of the moment.
What an incredible lesson this is for us. How much happier life would be if we were able to celebrate a moment at a time. When the only desire is to honor the moment, how could we ever live in fear of doing wrong? When the only desire is to stay in awe of creation, how can we ever think of speaking a bad word or hurting anyone? Why would we want to step out of the moment and dwell in anything dark and oppressive? Amma's shadow is full of light and joy. It's filled with happiness and goodness. All we need is to dwell in it.
I recited the sahasranamam after a long time today, Amma. And how beautiful it felt. Time just flew as I recited it. Please give me the will power to recite this every day. The very will power your nitya deities have. So I can celebrate You, in all your glory, every day!
