445. Om matyai namah: I bow down to Amma who manifests as intelligence
There are days when I am consumed by a certain loneliness. Caught up with work and other cares, I wonder if I have true friends out there but then when the dust settles, I remember the famous story about Lord Shiva. He kept leaving his seat and disappearing but reappeared very quickly. When asked about this, Lord Shiva replied that every time a devotee called his name, He left. But when the devotee decided to tell others his problems, the Lord came back. For the devotee obviously did not really need the Lord. So also, I would or rather should share my cares and worries with Amma who will listen and care. Why dilute it with the negativities of others who wouldn't? My Amma cares for me. She will always look out for me. She knows of my dreams and aspirations; my fears and follies. She will ensure that I am well looked after and that I march ahead towards my destiny under Her infinite grace.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
