450. Om nandinyai namah: I bow down to Amma who gives delight
In my over 24 years of being Amma's child, I am yet to see one person who isn't delighted on seeing Amma; on even talking about Her. How does one capture the one emotion one feels on being in Amma's presence?
Happiness? Joy? Delight? Safety?
All of the above?
How does one capture in mere words that feeling of deep satisfaction, of having finally arrived at home? Of meeting your mother? Of just being able to finally, finally let go? That release of sorrow and every possible burden? Those 2-3 days when we carry the burden only as something we know we are gearing to let go and once we have, the feeling of utter freedom is something divine. How is it that one little lady from Kerala can make the entire universe think like this? That irrespective of religion, color, caste, creed, profession, we are able to feel that same heady mix of happy emotions? That we are able to forgive ourselves and allow us to bask in Her brilliance and divinity. My only wish is that we would feel like this at all times. The day we understand that physical proximity really means nothing when it comes to Amma, this truth will set us free!
Om Amriteswariye namah!
