Living our life!

672. Om bhahmatmaikya-svarupinyai namah: I bow down to Amma whose nature is the union of Brahman and Atman

The numerous times I have looked at the greener side and wished it was mine! Amma explains it so beautifully and practically:
Children, learn to be content with what you have. Don’t desire what you don’t have or covet what others have. Don’t think that someone else’s pain is nothing compared to your own, or that you would feel much better if only you were in someone else’s shoes. This is not true. Each individual has his own set of problems and worries. You cannot exchange your troubles for someone else’s because you would not be able to bear anyone else’s pain. The same is true of happiness. You find that your neighbor is happier than you, and pray to God to be like him. Yet once you experience his happiness you realize that you actually prayed for the wrong thing. Your neighbor’s happiness and sorrows belong to him. By the same token, your joys and sorrows are yours alone. Realize this truth and be content with what you have. You cannot have more or less than what is intended for you. What you have is what is meant for you.
Here's wishing we all find the contentment we are living this life for!

Om Amriteswariye namah!
