Blessed, grateful, thankful!

654. Om yogadayai namah: I bow down to Amma who bestows the power of yoga.

I do wonder sometimes about why people hurt each other. And what the consequences are of leaving a deep slash across someone's emotions. We leave a trail of hurt behind us so easily. A bad word here, a nasty comment there. We reflect our own dissatisfaction with the world in our actions. None of us are above any of this. Which is why the Miracle called AMMA becomes so special. She's been spreading the river of Her love for decades! She's never taken off on medical leave or just gone vacationing. For Amma, spending time in the presence of Her children is a vacation, I guess! And never will Amma hurt with even one harsh word. There is only sweetness in Her. She will never judge but counsel compassionately. Every word She speaks is clothed in the deepest of compassion and love. It's like She is an unending breeze of love. If only we could pick up a strand or two from Amma. Maybe for one day see only the good in everyone. Maybe for one day just leave our harsh words aside. And then finally we would do justice to Amma's divinity. She has manifested and taken birth as a human being only to teach us at a level that we will understand. To save us from the many pits we would willingly fling ourselves into. Thank Goodness that we are Amma's children. I'm blessed, grateful and thankful. I truly couldn't have asked for a better Mother to hold the shade of grace over my head!

Om Amriteswariye namah!
