520. Om sakinyamba-svarupinyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is in the form of Mother Sakini described in the previous six names
I started this year on a bad note. Tired, weary. fearful. It took me six months to finally get to meet Amma at New York. And that's when the healing began. As always, Amma applies the salve. Through the year I have looked up to Amma searching for Her in shadows, in light, in corners. Asking Her furtively, 'what do I do now, Amma?' or despondently, 'why are You doing this to me, Amma?'. Most times She has stayed silent but the one time She spoke, it was resounding. And She showed me that She was there. In fact, had always been there. Some routes are just a massive test. Like a driving test. Dangerous curves that need great dexterity of faith. It just means I need to carefully manoeuvre along as Amma guides us. We just need to hold on to the steering well rest assured that Amma is right next to us applying the brakes and accelerating as She deems fit.
