A deep longing for Amma!

518. Om varadadi-nisevitayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is attended by Varada and other shaktis

A moment, a stillness that reminds me of Amma. I decide to clean the altar only so I can feel a deeper connect with Her. Anything where I can pretend to be actually washing Amma's feet or cleaning the peetham Amma sits on, or even preparing the altar for Amma. When I clean up my altar and place Amma's pictures back there, it feels the same as welcoming Amma to Her seat at a programme. And all the while Amma is watching only me. Like She is happy with the job I have done of cleaning up the space for Her to sit. Like Amma knows what thoughts have gone in to keeping the place worthy of our Goddess. Like Amma knows my deepest longing for Her and just how much my heart aches to have Her darshan and Her unending assurance and love. Like Amma knows that for now, if this is the closest I can get, it's also the safest I feel:)

“Compassion is Consciousness expressed through your actions and words. Compassion is the art of non-hurting. Compassion cannot hurt. Compassion cannot hurt anyone because compassion is Consciousness manifested. Consciousness cannot hurt anyone. Just as the sky cannot hurt anyone and space cannot hurt anyone, the manifestation of Consciousness, compassion, cannot hurt anyone. One who has compassion can only be compassionate.”: Amma

Om Amriteswariye namah!
