Missing You, Amma!

738. Om lasya-priyayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is fond of the lasya dance

My humble pranams to Amma on the day of Guru Purnima. Our loving Mother reaches out and changes our lives every day. In this lifetime we have all been touched by an angel no less! Every day should really be Guru Purnima because I doubt we can go even one day by not having adequate gratitude towards our Master. I received a beautiful message from Lalitha chechi today which read: "The best offerings to our Guru is selfless good deeds and pure good thoughts." As Swamiji reminded us, Amma doesn't want anything from us except our love. Our pure hearts. And when we do selfless good deeds, we cleanse our hearts. We make it the perfect abode for Amma.

I miss You, Amma! I wish You were here right now so I could lose myself in that all forgiving and all accepting embrace. I wish I could just sit by Your side and feel the ultimate safety and security under my Guru. You are my master, my teacher, my guide. And I miss Your presence sorely. I know You are always there but I am yet to grasp many truths. Please allow me the grace to learn these so I may become a better person with time. On this day I offer my past, present and future at Your divine feet. As You desire, so shall it be.

Om Amriteswariye namah!
