598. Om daksayanyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is Satidevi, the daughter of Daksha Prajapati
Some days can be quite a test of our faith. When Amma rattles our very bones and speaks to us of mixed blessings; when She tells us to stand strong and hold on tight for the ship is well and safe on the waters. But when we're enveloped on our own darkness, who is to see clearly this beam of faith? It's such a test She puts us through. I wish we had the mental clarity and strength to be able to hold on to this faith and tide over everything that comes our way. There is a certain grace even in the way we tide over problems. What possible use is it when we cry and berate fate? For Amma, the ideal way for us to react would be to look at problems with equanimity. When Amma sees that strength of the mind in us, She will always be there for us, standing strongly and firmly by our side.
Give me this strength that I speak of so confidently, Amma. For I have it not. And to have it would be the ultimate gift from You!
