609. Om daharakasa-rupinyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is the subtle Self in the heart
Peace. Elusive and frustrating. A simple 5 letter word that we spend our lives searching for! Amma has always said that we will only find it within ourselves but I think I only find it in those gentle hands that wipe away our tears, the soft white saree that absorbs our pain, the rudraksha bracelet that kisses me as I dissolve into surrender. Amma, I only know peace when I am in Your presence. You always say You are always there for us despite physical distances but how do I convince my heart that this is so? When can I transcend this state of doubting and realise that surrender is more than a word: it's a state of a liberated mind. A trusting, optimistic mind.
Allow me this peace, Amma. Allow me the knowledge that You are standing beside me always. That whatever turn of the road I find myself at, You have willingly put me there because You know what lies ahead. Help me Amma, through all the trials and tribulations; through all the many hills I have to climb. And once I conquer the hills, the mountains will I enjoy for the divine breeze!
