The sweetness of being!

27. Om nija sallapa madhurya vinirbhartsita kacchapyai namah: I bow down to Amma who excels even the veenas of Saraswati in the sweetness of Her speech

Children have a natural proclivity towards the basic essential virtues: kindness, compassion, niceness. It opens up their tiny hearts unblemished by adulthood. Within these virtues, they find a kindred spirit. The way God wanted the world to be. Purity at every level.

Little wonder then that children always flock around Amma truly like a Shepherd and Her sheep. Amma is the virtue magnet. She attracts all the good in us. And because children naturally are good, untarnished souls, we always find Amma with children around her. As She settles on the seat, children can be seen milling around Her. As Amma sings, they sit patiently, every once in a while throwing Her sidelong glances that seem to wonder what Amma will do next. When Amma gives Darshan, they watch attentively in the hope they will be next.

Amma's love for these little people is also well documented. And it's wonderful to see children reach out to Amma with so much of love. It's even more wonderful to see that children have the rare and blessed opportunity to have known Amma from before they entered the world.

Imagine a life where Amma is the only truth you have known since your birth.
Imagine a life where "Amma" was probably your first word
Imagine a life where Amma's soft hands taught you how to write your first words on a plate of raw rice.
Imagine a life where Amma's loving shadow stays cast on you even on days that burn.
Imagine a life where the sweetest voice, that can easily surpass the veenas of saraswati, whispered in your ears. And that sweet voice only assures you of one thing: "You are, therefore I am"

Om Amriteswariye namah!
