556. Om katyayanyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is the daughter of a sage named Kata
You truly are my everything, Amma. And so will it be till the end of Time.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
When I first became Amma's devotee, I always wondered about the relationship. Was it really God I had met? Was Amma a Guru? But the name meant Mother, so could She be my Mother & Father and therefore me Her child? And if that were so, then what about my parents? How exactly could I look upon Amma in my life.
What a silly question, on hindsight. As Amma had accepted me as Her child, of course She had become all of the above. My God (what better God than She who preaches and practices Love), my Guru (Every word of Amma's is a vedic truth), my Mother. As for being my parent, I see my biological parents, as Khalil Gibran says, as my custodians but not my owners. Only Amma owns us. My parents are themselves devotees of Amma and are happy to see that I look upon Amma as my Parent. Wouldn't every parent want exactly this for their child? You truly are my everything, Amma. And so will it be till the end of Time.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
