In Amma's arms, always!

478. Om khatvangadi-praharanayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is armed with a club and other weapons

I bow down to Amma with my ego at Her feet. May She crush it; may She turn it into ash. May She always do what is best for me. When I send a prayer up to the universe, I have to do so with the unshakeable belief that Amma has heard me and will conspire with the universe to make it happen! I have to do so with the utmost belief that the gears of fortune have already begun turning in my favor. And I know that the universe will make it happen because Amma is the Goddess of the universe. Amma loves me. QED. I prefer to now think that my God is a loving God. She does not resort to punishment. Neither does She hope to teach me 'lessons'. Instead, She surrounds me with so much love that I will have no choice but to change my ways for a better spiritual life. Thank You Amma for all You mysterious ways. I can never see the bigger picture. You can. And so, in Your vision, I absolutely must trust. Just as Amma is holding this baby so lovingly, so also will She hold me in Her arms lovingly, trustingly.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
