As the minutes tick by, all I can think of is how many more hours before we see Amma! Our mother whose infectious purity is the ray of sunshine in our lives; whose simplicity and love makes Her ever so adorable. I was curious about the New York programme and was quizzing a friend about it. He said that sometimes some unsavoury characters just walk in from the street. 'Are they allowed darshan?' I asked. 'Yes', he answered matter of factly. That blew me away. Amma never ever judges anyone and nor would She ever turn anyone away. I remember a programme where I couldn't sit in a particular place because the person next to me had severe body odour. Yet Amma hugged the person with so much love! Amma accepts each of us despite our many external and internal odours. In life's journey, Amma is the beacon of light showing us the spiritual path. If there is a universal definition of a mother whose only need is to light up the lives of Her children, it is our very adorable Amma!
