349. Om vandaru-jana-vatsalayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is full of motherly love for those who worship Her.
"Amma has been tirelessly fighting world suffering by offering hugs" New York Times
The beauty of attending an Amma programme beats anything in the world. That sweet anticipation as one waits for our daring Mother; those moments when tears threaten to reveal your fragility; that point when you can take it no longer and the accumulated sorrow and longing pours out. The heart cries out, Amma, where have you been? I have been waiting for this moment. And may nothing enter my head and heart except thoughts of You, Amma.
Everyone in the hall seems like a kindred soul. We're all connected by this strong bond of Amma's love. If only the world outside were like that.
The longing is now concentrated on getting that precious darshan. It's wonderful to meet old friends who put things in Amma-perspective for you. It's so humbling to see people say a quiet prayer before their meals. Everyone is so nice to one another. And ofcourse Amma is here lovingly giving darshan to each of Her children as bhajans play in the backdrop. Everything is perfect, right. But how else can the buzz in this place be? It is after all the place where our Mother is. And where Amma is, everything beautiful and magical lives on...
Om Amriteswariye namah!
