203. Om sarva-mayyai namah: I bow down to Amma who pervades every living and non-living thing
Respect. For everything around us. That's what this mantra implies, as Amma pervades everything: living and non-living. But in these times, we barely have respect for another human being, leave alone animals and non-living things. The only way we can learn to show respect for every thing around us is by knowing that God is a presence all around us. God pervades each and every atom surrounding us and within us. Then why do we allow negative emotions to creep in at all? Why is there a thread of negativity running all through society? Why is there scant respect for others ? Wouldn't life be so much easier to live and breathe if we just appreciated everything around us, see God in everything and let live?
Imagine a world where everything was perfect and happy for us? Now if only we could widen that vision to include everyone else! Much like Amma does. Only in Her world, each of us is there. And She's constantly giving, every second of the day.
Om Amriteswariye namah!
