252. Om paramanandayai namah: I bow down to Amma who is supreme bliss
I have often wondered exactly what gives us the the ultimate bliss. Is it helping people? Shopping? Donating? Drinking a coffee? Meditating? Running? A pastry? The conclusion I have come to, is that it is all of the above. We can drink a coffee and feel the ultimate bliss if only we think of Amma while drinking it. If we help people as an extension of what Amma has taught us; if we shop because it give sue time to chant Amma's name silently as we browse; if running means seeing Amma in the flowers and trees around us: if we can keep our concentration on Amma at all times, every minute of every day will be blissful for us. It will be comprised of moments when we take our mind away from the mundane and focus on the divine. When we rein in our meandering thoughts even during an activity and give it the breath of divinity. When this is what happens, how possibly can we ever utter a wrong word or do a wrong action? Or even think a bad thought? Once the negativity is wiped out, we will only be left with bliss. It's so simple. A QED moment. And yet, it's the most difficult thing to do! Because it isn't easy to attain Amma. For that, we need to surrender everything at Amma's feet unconditionally. Including our massive egos. And let faith do the job!
