232. Om mahesvara-mahakalpa-mahatandava-saksinyai namah: I bow down to Amma who is the witness of the great Tandava dance of Maheshvara (Shiva) at the end of the great cycle of creation.
All of creation owes it's presence to Amma. Amma is the one who has sculpted us from the destiny rock of the universe. She is the one who has written our fate. Which is why Amma says that when we aren't even sure of our next step as it isn't in our hands, what use is the very evil ego? We need to surrender everything to our creator. Amma has witnessed the beginning of creation. She has witnessed the legendary Tandava performed by Shiva at the end of the great cycle of creation.
We see Amma as a wonderful Goddess from Kerala who is approachable and treats us like Her children. She listens to us, comforts us and is there with us at every triumphant corner and every failed junction. Amma in actuality is more than a Mother. She holds the universe in Her palms and has the power to extinguish as well as create. Like the sound OM, She is the beginning. And the end. We owe our very life breath in gratitude to Her. We are alive to read this because Amma has draped us in Her grace. Creation is also a beautiful word for life. Newness. And this is how Amma touches our lives. By constantly sending waves of newness our way, whether it be in experiences or spiritual energy. Whenever we find ourselves feeling happier and more buoyant than usual, Amma's woven Her magic around us. It's Her reminder that creation started with the most beautiful of dances. And everyday, we need to celebrate that with a little dance in our steps!
